I’ve been a trainer for years and clients come to me for a lot of different reasons. In the last few years, there’s been a big shift toward gaining strength and endurance, an athletic mindset that I really love, and think is so healthy. They’ll ask, “Lacey, how do I put on muscle and perform better at the gym? What workouts can I do that will get me in shape quickly? How do I tone up?” We live in a society that wants everything but sometimes doesn’t want to listen or put in the necessary work to maintain and sustain results.
Everyone is go-go-go, and I’m here to tell you that the only way to get lasting results is if you slow-slow-slow (down!). I believe my training method is the fastest way to get and maintain results. It involves kicking butt at the gym, at your job, and in your life. However, in your quest for awesome you must not forget that after crushing it at the gym, you need to fuel your body…and one of the best ways—and my personal favorite way— to be able to keep crushing it is drink Core Power. It doesn’t matter how hard you work if you end up burning out because you refuse to do the necessary work to recover. No one can go at Mach 12 consistently without getting injured.
My workouts are a fusion of HIIT, heavy weights, and athletic/dance-inspired cardio moves. My clients tend to be people who lead very busy lifestyles, and the busier you are the better you have to be at self-care.
That’s why I think it’s beyond important for me to teach you about post workout recovery. When you bust your rear in the gym, I find that people don’t think about what they fuel their body with in order to maintain and sustain their results.
Hard workouts create tiny micro tears in your muscle fiber. The quicker you fuel your system post workout, the less sore you’ll be and the faster you’ll see your hard work pay off. If you don’t fuel your body properly, it will be operating at a deficit, which means it’s not going to work as well for you.
CORE POWER
Core Power High Protein Milk Shakes are my go-to post workout recovery drink and here’s my TOP 5 reasons why:
- RECOVERY DREAM: Real dairy protein—found in cow’s milk—is important to athletic recovery because it naturally contains whey and casein proteins. The combination of fast-fast-digesting whey protein with slow-acting casein proteins delivers a constant flow of amino acids and the essential nutrients needed to replenish a body and maximize post workout recovery, while building and repairing lean muscles.
- EASY: The drink is shelf stable, so you can drink them cold or not, making them perfect for any type of workout! Just throw them in your bag and head out to the gym, for a run, biking, hiking, whatever.
- TASTE: Core Power tastes great, especially in comparison to all those other protein drinks. Because it’s made from fairlife milk, it doesn’t have a chalky protein powder aftertaste.
- LACTOSE FREE: Because this beverage is made with fairlife ultra-filtered milk, it is lactose-free and contains no artificial growth hormones.
- PERFECT PROTEIN: Core Power shakes have 26g of protein per bottle and come in a variety of flavors: chocolate, vanilla, banana, and strawberry banana. The ELITE line comes in chocolate and vanilla and serves up a whopping 42g of protein per bottle!
If I haven’t sold you on the power of recovery and my favorite drink post workout, I don’t think you’ve read my blog, HA! If you work out hard, I definitely recommend you try this recovery drink.
