HOW TO BUY SPIN SHOES

You’ve become a spin badass and now it’s time to get your first pair of kicks. Let me break down the easiest way for you to get this very necessary spin accessory.

First, go to your studio and try on the shoes. When you order the shoes online they often only come in European sizes, your studio or a cycling store will be able to tell you your European size. Why not just get it at the cycling store? Because the shoes at cycling stores are 10x more expensive than the ones you can find online.

At your studio also find out what type of bottoms their bikes use. I find that most studios prefer that the rider use Look Delta Cleats. You will need to purchase these separate from your spin shoes. If you were looking to purchase bottoms to cycle outdoors I would recommend spd bottoms.

Here’s a list of dope brands I’ve used.

Sidi
Diadora
Bont
Shimano
Bontrager

Some searches that I’ve used: Red Spin Shoes & Neon Yellow Spin Shows… hahaha. In my opinion spin shoes aren’t really comfortable so that’s not really an issue and if you’ve been using the studios shoes your own personal pair will feel like heaven.

Finally, once you get your shoes have no fear… If you belong to a good gym the teacher or the front desk staff will be able to help you put the cleats onto the bottom of your shoes.

That’s my quick guide to getting your first pair of spin shoes! Enjoy the ride and if you have any questions leave a comment below.
